Would you like to know more about the constitution of a porcelain doll, apply yourself intensely with this fascinating occupation and learn how to model a doll with artistic and well-balanced proportions, step by step? I would like to pass my longtime expereince in this wonderful profession of doll making on to you and pave the way for your own artistic self-realization. The course will take place in the rural atmosphere of the Vienne and the near Loire Valley with its great variety of cultural, architectural and culinary attractions and beautyful gardens. We are working in a renovated ancient French farmhouse and will also ´have our meals there together. In your breaks you will be able to relax in our romantic garden and a swimming pool. In our little Summer Academy we would like to offer you the possibility to attend one, two or three different workshops with variable aims:
1. Modelling Workshop
Monday, April, 23th to Friday, 27th, 2012, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Within this week you will learn how to model head, arms and legs of a complete doll and you will get basic instructions in mould making. Participation fee: € 890.00. Maximum number of participants: 4 persons.
2. Mould Making Workshop
Dates on request. When spending this additional week with us you can bing your models to erfection, learn more about mould making while using your own moulds and take t least one complete mould home with you. Furthermore you will get basic nstructions in porcelain casting. articipation fee: € 890.00. Maximum number of participants: 4 persons.
3. Porcelain Workshop
Dates on request. Uring your third stay you can acheive fundamental knowledge in the techniques f porcelain casting, planing and painting. You can craft your own model and you ill also learn how to make a well- balanced pattern for a body. articipation fee: € 890.00. Maximum number of participants: 4 persons.
The costs are including all necessary materials and the meals during the course of the day. For every workshop an application fee of € 200,00 falls due with registration. It can, however, not be refunded in case of cancelation.
Mould Making
For artists who already have completed models we are offering a mould making service. You can benefit from our longterm experience and will receive perfect moulds which are just ready for production. The costs for multi-part moulds are as follows: Mould composed of 2 parts = € 120.00, 3 parts = € 140.00, 4 parts = € 160.00 , 5 parts = € 180.00, 6 parts = € 200.00.
