Amelie and her doll Bella are of finest bisque porcelain - modelled, manufactured and painted by the artist Ruth Treffeisen herself. Amelie's wig is of human hair and hand-knotted, just as her eyelashes are. Her reddish brown and mustard-colored dress of pure silk taffeta, with a collar decorated with hand-embroidered petit point, is sewn in Ruth Treffeisen's studio. Bella's dress is of pure silk organza and also hand-embroidered. Her hair is modelled in porcelain in the style of antique dolls. The eyes of green-gray-colored glass are hand-made by the best glassblowers in Germany. Amelie's body is stuffed with sheep’s wool and in order to be able to decorate the doll in various positions, it has been equipped with flexible joints inside. Bella's body is a wooden skeleton. The hat of finest sisal is exclusively made for Amelie on a block. Genuine leather shoes and handknitted silken socks complete her beautiful appearance.
